The New Era of Glass Ionomer: A Hands-on Experience!

April 28, 2022
1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
  • Joshua Austin, D.D.S., MAGD

For a decade of my career, I ignored glass ionomer materials in my practice. I thought they were unwieldy and unaesthetic. That was a mistake for me and my patients. Recent developments and improvement in glass ionomers have made these materials a “must have” for any restorative dental practice. This course will discuss the new materials and their best application and give participants an opportunity to use them.

Learning Objectives:
1) Explore how glass ionomer materials have evolved.
2) Discuss and perform several placement techniques for glass ionomers.
3) Review clinical advantages of glass ionomer materials.
40 Examine the best applications for glass ionomer materials.

This program is sponsored by an unrestricted educational grant provided by 3M Oral Care and GC America.
