Dentistry is a complex profession that requires many disciplines to achieve success. Never is this more evident than with removable prosthetics. In this lecture, Dr. Winter will share his real-world techniques to achieve successful results with dentures and overdentures. Since dentures are a prototype restoration for implant dentistry, we will examine how to idealize removable constructs and build a dynamic treatment plan for the patient that would allow them to add implants, mini-implants, locator attachments on roots or implants and bar overdentures to achieve an upgrade path over the course of the patients’ lifetime. This is a case study rich compilation of cases. We will examine treatment planning and “reverse engineering” our treatment options, dialogues for success, prosthetics, CBCT planning and surgery to achieve prosthetically guided implant placement and restoration.
