Women’s Oral Health and Periodontal Concerns in All Stages of Life

From puberty through the golden years, women are faced with unique challenges in maintaining oral health – a whole health issue. These challenges are often revealed in the periodontal status of patients and change with the various stages of life. Explore periodontal issues many women face including changes associated with puberty, menstruation, use of birth control pills, pregnancy and menopause and learn the latest information regarding osteoporosis and bisphosphonate treatment.

About the speaker
Jacqueline M. Plemons, D.D.S., MS
Dr. Plemons received her dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry. She has a full-time private practice in Dallas, Texas and works part-time at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry as a Professor in the Department of Periodontics. She is Past-President of the Texas Dental Association.
