2018 Art of Dentistry
Join us for the 19th Art of Dentistry this April at the Star of the North Meeting!
The Art of Dentistry is an art display exclusively for MDA members and their dental teams. The display will be set on the 2nd floor of the RiverCentre along with all educational programming.
During the meeting, attendees will be able to vote on the meeting app for their favorite artwork – this includes photographs, chalk or oil paintings, needlework, sculptures – any type of art is welcome!
NEW for 2018! The Minnesota Dental Association is taking the balloting a step further this year. This year, in addition to casting ballots, attendees can bid on select pieces of art being donated by the artists showing their work. Money raised will go directly towards the Minnesota Dental Foundation’s mission of eliminating unmet oral health needs in Minnesota.
As noted above, attendees may cast their votes on Thursday, April 26th and Friday, April 27th. Winners will be announced on Saturday April 28th.
Cash prizes along with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded. Winning artwork will be published in an issue of Northwest Dentistry and on the Star of the North website for the top three vote-getters in the People’s Choice Contest.
All artists must be registered to attend the 2018 Star of the North Meeting. Artwork submitted must be original to the Art of Dentistry contest and be original artwork of the person submitting the item(s). Limit of five art pieces per applicant. Participation is limited to the first 100 art pieces. Please see the Art of Dentistry application on our website for the official Rules and Regulations.
