Keynote Presentation

"Adventures in Deep Sea Exploration: Living the Dream"
Dr. Robert Ballard
Friday, April 23
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Event Number: F1027

In this visually gripping presentation, explorer Robert Ballard shares his passion for the last great uncharted territory. Working closely with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Ballard uses cutting-edge science and technology to explore the ocean's depths in order to better understand and preserve our waters for the generations that follow.

Dr. Ballard is among the world's most accomplished oceanographers and is most renowned for his discovery of the wreckage of the RMS Titanic and underwater exporations of the Bismarck, Lusitanis and Britannic. Dr. Ballard's discovery of the Titanic and his other undersea expeditions are a testament to the pioneering spirit and the marvels of discovery. His combination of team leadership, raw intellect, ingenuity and daring personality are proof that anything is possible.

With help from our generous sponsor, JNBA Financial Advisors, we are pleased to be able to offer our keynote program absolutely FREE to all registered attendees and guests. However, tickets are recommended for this program. Please indicate your plans to attend this program when you pre-register.

Event Number: P1053

These spicy, but not-too-hot dishes, complimented by icy rum cocktails are perfect for those upcoming summer parties.

This is not a cooking demonstration, it's a great opportunity to get right in the kitchen and partiicpate in creating pineapple batida cocktails, grilled steaks with chimichurri sauce, tomatoes with avocado salsa, Latin American potato salad and finish it all off with caipirinha cocktail pie. Come hungry because you'll want to have room for every course!

The class will be held at All, Inc. near Harriet Island in their state-of-the-art kitchens. Bus transportation will be provided to and from th RiverCentre. Mr. Sveback lives in Afton, MN where he teaches "regular people" cooking, gardening and entertaining. He has over 20 years of experience and can be seen on local channels and at area Williams-Sonoma stores.
