Dentists and Student Dentists

Under no circumstances may a dentist register as a guest, spouse, exhibitor, dental assistant, hygienist, technician or office personnel. Spouses who are dentists must register as dentists. MDA/ADA membershp status will be verified to determine eligibility for member rates.

MDA Member Dentists and Student Dentists

Beginning in 2010, MDA members should pre-register online or using a downloaded registration form for all programs and events . A name badge will no longer automatically be mailed to members. Appropriate tuition fees for individual courses or activities will apply. Registration will CONTINUE to be FREE for all MDA members, however your 2010 dues must be paid before your registration will be processed. We are requesting that you pre-register to allow us to accurately plan for your attendance. If you decide to attend at the last minute, you can still do so, but will need to stop by the member registration desk onsite to pick up a name badge to access either the exhibit floor or the continuing education programs. Be prepared, if you decide to register onsite, you may have to wait in line.

MDA student dentist members should pre-register for the meeting either online or using a downloaded registration form. Appropriate tuition fees for individual courses or activities will apply. Badges and tickets will be delivered to student mailboxes at the dental school about a week before the meeting.

Special Needs

Classroom Comfort

You may find the temperature in lecture rooms and the exhibit hall "too hot" or "too cold" for comfort. Try as we might, we can't guarantee the temperature will be "just right" for everyone, so please come prepared - dress in layers and bring a sweater or light jacket to the meeting.

Per fire codes, once a course is full, attendees will not be allowed to sit on the floor or bring chairs in from another room.

Please remember to "silence" your cell phones and pagers while seated in classrooms. Please step outside to receive/conduct phone calls as not to disturb the learning environment of other attendees.

Attending the Meeting with Children

Children under the age of 18 must be registered and must be accompanied by an adult at all times while at the Star of the North Meeting. Unless otherwise specified, children will be allowed in meeting rooms as long as they do not disrupt the course being presented. If a child is disrupting the learning atmosphere of other attendees, the attendee and child will be asked to leave the room and no refund will be given.

Baby strollers are NOT permitted in meeting rooms. For the safety of your child and those visiting the exhibit floor, the Star of the North Meeting recommends that children not be taken onto the exhibit floor in a stroller. If you do use a stroller in the convention center, you do so at your own risk. Neither the Minnesota Dental Association nor RiverCentre will be responsible for accidents that occur due to the use of strollers.
